Gelbo Flex Testing

Gelbo Flex Testi

"Gelbo Flex Test" performed on packages; can be explained as resistance to repetitive stretching.

In the Gelbo flex test, the package is crushed by repeatedly bending it in a twisting motion combined with a horizontal motion (compression).

The purpose of this test method is not to have zero cracks or tears, but rather to evaluate the performance of one material against another and the expectation that there will be cracks to be evaluated. It is an important test process in terms of determining the deformations that may occur during the transportation test of the packaging material, especially during vibration.

It is important to know beforehand the stretching, folding and compression properties of packaging materials without cracking.
